Video, in particular, seems to be a major focus to Instagram as it now sees itself as an entertainment service, similar to YouTube and TikTok. Instagram will now be bringing in video focused changes, such as full-screen, mobile-first videos, and featured video content to your timeline that you may not follow.

It is important that we do mention that you can still post photos onto your feed, don’t completely disregard them! Just make sure that you find a balance between both images and videos – in particular, Instagram Reels! Reels have become a wonderful way to create fun and exciting new content and is seen to receive a higher amount of engagement.

If you are selling a product, ensure that you make use of the ‘Shop’ feature on your posts. The shopping feature on Instagram allows users to seamlessly visit your website and purchase items straight from your eCommerce site.

None of the changes mentioned in the video would come as a surprise to anyone who has been using Instagram over the past few years. As competition has evolved, the company has constantly changed and morphed itself to follow the latest trends. The current version of Instagram is barely recognisable, with all the new features being added on recently and old features being moved out of the way.
